Zanzibar beach, Tanzania — Yera Journeys

20+ YEARS ON THE GROUND · FULLY TAILOR-MADE · NO SUB-AGENTS — EVER

Zanzibar Isn't Just a Beach. It's Nine of Them.

Turquoise water looks the same in every photo. The experience behind it doesn't. We match you to the coast that actually fits how you want to spend your days.

THE PROBLEM

Most People Book Zanzibar From a Single Photo.

Most people book Zanzibar based on a photo — then arrive to find the beach is either too loud, too quiet, too far from anything, or nothing like what they pictured.

THE REALITY

Zanzibar's coastline changes character block by block. Nungwi is nightlife and energy. Jambiani is silence and kite lines on the horizon. Book the wrong stretch of coast and your "relaxing beach week" becomes a logistics problem.

THE YERA APPROACH

We know every stretch of this island — not just the postcard shots — and place you exactly where your version of a perfect beach actually is.

AREAS OF ZANZIBAR

Nine Coastlines. Nine Different Islands.

Nungwi, Zanzibar

Nungwi

The island's most energetic beach town — sunset bars, beach parties, and a wide stretch of sand that stays swimmable at every tide. Best for those who want nightlife within walking distance.

Kendwa, Zanzibar

Kendwa

Neighboring Nungwi but calmer — same tide-friendly beach, fewer crowds, and the island's best full-moon parties for those who want them without living in the middle of it.

Paje, Zanzibar

Paje

The kitesurfing capital of East Africa. Wide lagoon, consistent wind, a young international crowd, and some of the best beach bars on the island.

Jambiani, Zanzibar

Jambiani

Quiet, traditional, and largely untouched — a working fishing village coastline with long tidal flats and a slower pace. Best for genuine peace over amenities.

Michamvi / Pingwe, Zanzibar

Michamvi / Pingwe

Home to Zanzibar's iconic Rock Restaurant. A quieter, more secluded east-coast peninsula with some of the island's most exclusive luxury properties.

Matemwe, Zanzibar

Matemwe

A quiet stretch close to Mnemba Atoll — Zanzibar's best diving and snorkeling. Understated, upscale, and ideal for underwater-focused stays.

Pongwe, Zanzibar

Pongwe

One of the island's best-kept secrets — a small, secluded cove beach with barely any development. For travelers who want Zanzibar with almost no one else around.

Kizimkazi, Zanzibar

Kizimkazi

South coast, home to wild dolphin encounters and quieter, less-visited beaches. A good add-on for those wanting something beyond sunbathing.

Stone Town, Zanzibar

Stone Town

Not a beach town — a UNESCO World Heritage old town of narrow alleys, spice markets, and centuries of Swahili, Arab, and Indian Ocean trade history. Best paired with 1–2 nights before heading to the coast.
