What You'll Do Today
Tarangire holds one of the highest elephant densities in Tanzania, drawn by the Tarangire River even in the dry season. Descending into the Ngorongoro Crater is one of this circuit's defining moments — over 250 square kilometres of grassland, lake, and forest sealed inside a volcanic caldera, holding lion, elephant, hippo, and one of East Africa's last strongholds of black rhino. The canoe safari on Day 3 depends on Lake Manyara's water level at the time of travel. If conditions aren't right, your guide substitutes an equivalent game drive or walking option — you won't lose the day.
